My good friend Viv is making a long trip (8 months) through Vietnam, besides traveling she's making a documentary about Child Surgery.

She brought a Room Eleven Kazoo with her... and gave it to this woman.

DIARY: 3rd day in Stockholm

Just some shots of today and yesterday.

Oh, and the Blind Boys of Alabama are staying at my Hotel, cool! A long time ago I listened a lot to the cd they made with Ben Harper.

DIARY: First demo recording day in Stockholm

I'm so tired, slept for two hours last night, 'cause I thought I'd be wise to take an early flight to Stockholm (6.55 AM)... not so wise after North Sea Jazz... Nonetheless we, producer and co-writer Johan and I managed to record 4 new songs (demoish and rough!) and I'm very surprised by the way he fills in the blank spots in my songs.

I can't wait to bring out a new album!!

Next week I'll be in Stockholm to write with Johan Lindström (producer Nina Kinert).

So I'll be writing some rainy songs...

The only thing missing was the sun, but there had to be something missing, cause everything felt complete on this evening full of music, food, nice people and drinks. Thanks Red, Martijn, Eva and everyone else for making this happen!

NEWS: Sunday 12th Singing on North Sea Jazz

Sunday 12th of july I'll sing two songs with 'Phase Five' on the great North Sea Jazz festival!

Phase Five is a big group of musicians and songwriters working together occasionally.

Sarah Bettens, Lilian Vieira, Leine, David Pino and myself will sing songs based on material from the albums of Yuri Honing

Produced by Floris Klinkert.

In the band are: Tony Roe (keys), Marc Haanstra (bass), Stef van Es (guitars) Yuri Honing (sax) and Satindra Kalpoe (drums).

Be there, cause we won't play that much!

DIARY: I love the Montreal Jazz festival!!!

Two years ago we played on the same square as this year, but now we played on the biggest stage of the two stages. It was amazing then, so I was a little nervous about screwing up the good memories I had... Bigger stage, higher expectations, more people, bigger everything... it couldn't be as magical as last time.

But the 1st show at 8pm was so cool! Heavy rain fall and still the square was filled with people (with umbrellas), unbelievable! People can give me energy and can make me feel at home on stage so I can feel free to do what I want ... It was definitely the case here, so I decided to do an umbrella dance!

2nd show that night, no rain but even better!

Do I need to say more??

FOUND: When I'm older

This is where I'll be when I'm older. Painting and writing songs...  giving parties the whole summer with a barbeque and old bathtubs in the garden and a little stage for a band! Drinking vodka around the bonfire... talking about eh.. things you talk about when you're in this situation... In reality I'm still looking for a house.  Thanks ? for the pictures.
